Auburndale teen stabbed boyfriend to death with kitchen knife following argument

A 14-year-outdated is going through 2nd-degree murder expenses following police say he killed Zachary Jordan Lee Brown, 18, with a kitchen area knife on Friday evening. 

It transpired soon right before midnight at the intersection of Lime Avenue and Charles Avenue. 

Auburndale law enforcement say they found Brown unresponsive with two stab wounds although investigating a phone about a person lying in the roadway. He was taken to Lakeland Regional Health-related Heart in which he died soon immediately after arrival. 

According to an arrest report, Brown was in a courting-fashion romance with the 14-year-old for approximately 9 months and they agreed to satisfy near the suspect’s home, which was common. 

Brown introduced liquor for the pair to consume and they both had one shot of Fireball whiskey just before finding into an argument, the arrest report states.

The 14-calendar year-outdated told police he didn’t try to remember what the argument was about but stated he damage his finger when Brown shut it in his vehicle doorway. He went on to say that he went inside his house to put a Band-Assist and some ice on his finger. 

Although within the property, in accordance to the arrest report, the suspect grabbed a kitchen knife from a cupboard, concealed it, and went back exterior to in which Brown was and confronted him about the before argument. 

The suspect said he did not keep in mind specifically what took place, except that he stabbed Brown in the arm and perhaps in the upper body. He extra that Brown informed him to simply call 911.

According to the affidavit, the 14-year-outdated ran inside the property, referred to as 911, and came back exterior with a towel from the bathroom to check out to end the bleeding. 

The suspect was even now on the scene when law enforcement arrived. He was protected in blood and explained to officers that he stabbed Brown and no person else was concerned, according to the arrest report.
