Florida lady stabbed, killed in Los Angeles luxury furnishings retail store, police say

LOS ANGELES (KTLA) – The deadly stabbing of a 24-12 months-aged female inside a luxurious Hancock Park home furnishings store seems to have been a random assault, law enforcement said.

The lady, determined as Brianna Kupfer, was stabbed to death in wide daylight, all over 1:50 p.m. Thursday, inside of furniture enterprise Croft Property in the 300 block of North La Brea Avenue.

Soon after the killing, a shopper walked into the store and located Kupfer lifeless on the flooring.

“Detectives have established the suspect was not acknowledged to the victim and was a random wander into the retail store,” LAPD said in an update Friday.

Police stated it is even now unclear what motivated the brutal attack.

Kupfer, a Pacific Palisades resident, was a layout guide for Croft Residence, went to the University of Miami for undergrad, in accordance to her LinkedIn profile.

“There was one extra individual in there: the suspect. No other witnesses or consumers ended up in the retailer at the time,” LAPD Detective Herman Frettlohr informed customers of the media Thursday.

The assailant attacked the younger female with a knife and fled the scene from the back door, according to law enforcement.

He was past observed on surveillance video, headed northbound in the alley powering the criminal offense scene.

Law enforcement explained the suspect as a Black male who is tall and skinny. He was previous noticed wearing a darkish hoodie, sunglasses, a white N-95 mask, darkish skinny jeans, dim shoes and carrying a dark backpack.

“Based on proof learned by detectives, the suspect is thought to be homeless,” LAPD claimed.
